Preparation
- Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple, then slice off the skin in strips and remove the eyes.
- Cut the pineapple into 1-inch chunks.
Mixing flavors
- In a mixing bowl, combine pineapple chunks with olive oil, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and salt. Toss gently until evenly coated.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes.
- Place the pineapple chunks in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking or stirring halfway through for even cooking.
Serving
- Remove the pineapple chunks carefully and serve warm, either alone or with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For a spicy twist, add a sprinkle of chili powder before serving. These pineapple chunks pair well with vanilla yogurt.
