Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 medium fresh pineapple Approximately 3 cups when cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil Use any preferred oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon Optional for flavor
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional for sweetness
  • 1 pinch salt To enhance flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple, then slice off the skin in strips and remove the eyes.
  2. Cut the pineapple into 1-inch chunks.
Mixing flavors
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine pineapple chunks with olive oil, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and salt. Toss gently until evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes.
  2. Place the pineapple chunks in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking or stirring halfway through for even cooking.
Serving
  1. Remove the pineapple chunks carefully and serve warm, either alone or with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add a sprinkle of chili powder before serving. These pineapple chunks pair well with vanilla yogurt.
