  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup mayonnaise Can be substituted with Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Good quality cheese enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Adjust according to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Breadcrumbs for topping (optional) Can be substituted with extra cheese for a richer top.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the shredded chicken and steamed broccoli to the bowl and stir until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs if desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown.

Notes

For best results, shock the broccoli after steaming to keep it bright. Serve with a pan of chicken gravy for an enhanced meal experience.
