  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream (full fat) Do not play games.
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
  3. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Gradually add the chicken broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  7. Lower the heat and mix in the sour cream.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve over noodles or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

This recipe is forgiving; feel free to swap noodles for rice or double the mushrooms. Temper sour cream before adding to avoid curdling.
