Crispy Air Fryer Cod

A simple and crunchy recipe for cooking cod fillets in an air fryer, resulting in a golden crust and flaky fish.

Ingredients
  

For the Cod
  • 4 fillets cod fillets Frozen cod is fine — thaw slowly, don’t microwave.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated Parmesan is ideal.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko preferred for better crunch.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking spray

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush the cod fillets with olive oil or spray with cooking spray.
  4. Coat each fillet with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Cooking
  1. Place the coated cod fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  2. Cook for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cod flakes easily with a fork.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, alongside roasted veggies or a fresh salad.

Notes

For optimal crust, press the crumbs firmly. Panko breadcrumbs are recommended for extra crunch.
