- Pour in vegetable broth, bring to a simmer, cover, and reduce heat.
- Cook undisturbed until the rice and lentils are tender, about 20–25 minutes.
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon, fresh herbs, a crack of pepper, and chili flakes if desired.
