Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the honey, sugar, and oil, and mix well.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the milk.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the walnuts if using.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serve. Enjoy your delightful Greek Honey Cake!
Notes
Can be served with coffee. It can be made gluten-free using a 1:1 flour blend, and it keeps covered at room temperature for 2-3 days and in the fridge for up to a week.
