Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour Twinkie molds.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the molds, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool.
Filling
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold in the marshmallow fluff and vanilla extract to make the filling.
Assembly
- Once the cakes are cooled, remove from molds and use a piping bag to fill the center with the cream mixture.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
For best results, ensure cakes are completely cool before filling to avoid melting the filling. Optionally air out the oven window while baking for nostalgic aromas.
