Preparation
- Preheat your oven according to the pizza crust package instructions, usually around 425°F (220°C).
- In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant, then remove from heat.
- Turn the heat to low and add honey and red pepper flakes to the garlic, stirring until combined. Season with salt and pepper, and taste.
- Place the ready-made pizza crust on a baking sheet. If it's floppy, prebake for 2–3 minutes.
- Pour the honey-garlic mixture over the crust, spreading it to cover the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the top.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly browned.
Finishing touches
- Let the pizza cool for 2–3 minutes, then scatter torn fresh basil leaves on top.
- Slice and serve hot, enjoying the sweet and spicy garlic bread pizza.
Notes
This pizza reheats well; just pop leftovers in a skillet or oven for a few minutes.
