  • 1 piece ready-made pizza crust Store-brand crusts are suitable.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Low-moisture mozzarella recommended.
For the hot honey mixture
  • 1/4 cup honey Darker honey gives a deeper flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Sauté for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust based on spice preference.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season according to preference.
For garnish
  • a few fresh basil leaves Adds freshness to the dish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the pizza crust package instructions, usually around 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant, then remove from heat.
  3. Turn the heat to low and add honey and red pepper flakes to the garlic, stirring until combined. Season with salt and pepper, and taste.
  4. Place the ready-made pizza crust on a baking sheet. If it's floppy, prebake for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Pour the honey-garlic mixture over the crust, spreading it to cover the edges.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly browned.
Finishing touches
  1. Let the pizza cool for 2–3 minutes, then scatter torn fresh basil leaves on top.
  2. Slice and serve hot, enjoying the sweet and spicy garlic bread pizza.

This pizza reheats well; just pop leftovers in a skillet or oven for a few minutes.
