  • 2 pieces ripe mangoes, peeled and diced Choose mangoes that smell fragrant and ripe.
  • 1/2 cup honey Use local and runny honey for best results.
  • 2-3 pieces habanero peppers, chopped Adjust quantity based on spice preference.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended.
  • 1 lime Juice of 1 lime Freshly squeezed lime juice enhances flavor.
  • to taste none Salt Adjust according to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine diced mangoes, honey, chopped habanero peppers, minced garlic, lime juice, and salt.
  2. Blend until smooth.
Cooking
  1. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Serving
  1. Use as a glaze, marinade, or dipping sauce for grilled chicken, shrimp, wings, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

For a milder sauce, remove habanero seeds or start with one pepper. Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for 1-2 weeks.
