Casserole Ingredients
  • 1 lb lean ground beef Can substitute with turkey or plant-based meat.
  • 1 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1 can Manwich sauce Can substitute with homemade sauce.
  • 2 cups cooked pasta Undercook by a minute or two.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use your favorite cheese variety.
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and bell peppers; sauté until soft.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in Manwich sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix in cooked pasta and half of the cheese.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Serve warm with salad or veggies.

Notes

Brown the beef well and drain it to avoid greasiness. For extra tang, add mustard or apple cider vinegar to the sauce before baking. This casserole can be assembled ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
