  • 12 oz medium egg noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 lb ground beef Brown in a skillet.
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese For topping.
  • to taste Salt and pepper To season the mixture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, browned beef, tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, and salt and pepper.
Baking
  1. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with grated parmesan.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Let the casserole sit 5–10 minutes before serving to allow it to settle for cleaner slicing.

Notes

For a twist, you can add a spoonful of apple butter to the mixture for a hint of sweetness. This casserole can also be frozen before baking for up to 2 months.
