Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- In a saucepan, whisk together egg yolks and sugar over medium heat until thickened.
- Slowly stir in the milk and cook until infused. Remove from heat and let cool.
Whipping
- In a bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth and creamy.
Layering
- Dip ladyfingers in cooled espresso and layer them in a dish, allowing each to soak just enough without losing structure.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers.
- Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Chilling
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours—overnight if you can wait!
Serving
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder, creating a velvet-like finish.
Notes
Allow the ingredients to mingle in the fridge overnight for maximum flavor. The longer Tiramisu sits, the better it becomes.
